Methodology
Data sources
Companies and products are sourced from publicly accessible Whop endpoints — affiliate marketplace and per-company public profile queries. We don’t scrape behind authentication, and we don’t republish user content.
What we store
Company route, title, pitch, member count, review average, review count, owner profile, business type, industry niche, featured product price, plan type, affiliate metrics (EPC, conversion rate, total commissions paid, affiliate %). Product-level: title, headline, plan price, plan trial days, gallery images.
Price normalization
Whop returns prices in various periods (per month, per year, per week, per day, one-time). For comparison and filtering we normalize to monthly equivalents: yearly ÷ 12, weekly × 52/12, daily × 30. One-time prices are flagged separately.
Sorting and ranking
Default lists are ranked by member count, then by all-time affiliate commissions paid as a tie-breaker. Categories use the taxonomy provided by Whop’s businessType + industryType fields — no custom keyword classifier.
Update cadence
Affiliate marketplace seed is re-pulled regularly to detect new and renamed companies. Per-company details and product galleries are re-pulled on a slower cadence.
Images
Product preview images are downloaded, resized to 800px wide and converted to WebP, then served from this domain. Logos and banners are loaded from Whop’s CDN for now.
